Vontobel signs up to Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)
The Vontobel Group has signed up to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) in January 2010.This step underlines the increased emphasis Vontobel places on
sustainability issues in the investment business.
The PRI is a declaration that was jointly developed by the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative and the UN Global Compact and is based on six main principles. By
signing up to the PRI, companies accept a duty to gradually integrate sustainability aspects into their investment processes.
The principles include promoting the exercise of ownership rights, demanding detailed reporting on environmental, social and governance issues, and encouraging investors to
increasingly cooperate in promoting sustainability.
By implementing the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), the Vontobel Group will be able to consistently optimize its investment processes and ensure that its investment
business meets high sustainability standards.
