 Vontobel is the new lead sponsor of the Grasshopper Club Zurich with effect from the 2010/2011 football
season, making it the main partner of Switzerland's most successful football club.
The sponsoring partnership - which ranges from advertising on the players' football strips and around the edge of the pitch in Zurich's Letzigrund stadium to the
Vontobel Group's presence in all print and online media - has initially be concluded for a period of two years. Vontobel is thus extending its range of sponsorship
activities, which previously centred on cultural commitments.
The Grasshopper Club - like Vontobel - has close ties with Zurich and a history dating back 124 years. It is not only the most important and successful
football club in Switzerland but also plays an exemplary role in the promotion of young talent. The club's focus on achievement and its values fit well with Vontobel's corporate
culture.
