 Objective and concept
This internship has been in existence since 1982 and is intended to offer high school graduates a broadly based commercial education. Particular emphasis is put on the practical
application of knowledge and abilities.
The course combines theory - taught by the Kaderschule Zürich - and on-the-job training during an internship at one of the companies which support the PWA
programme. Successful students receive a diploma that is recognised by Canton Zurich.
Duration and structure
The programme begins in the autumn of each year, lasts for two years and is based on the block teaching concept. The semi-annual block prepares students for the main practical
part of the programme. The main emphasis is on business studies and IT. Subsequently the students embark on one and half year internship with one of the PWA companies, e.g. with
Bank Vontobel AG in Zurich. The programme ends with a final examination.
Required profile

High school graduate

Knowledge of English and French in line with high school graduation standards

Interest in business and the stock market

Independent, self-motivated, open, willing and able to learn, good communication skills, capable of working in a team
Registration
Since we only take on new PWA internship candidates every two years (in even-numbered years), applications can only be submitted one year preceding the start of a new internship
