Charges relating to PEH capital increase as well as petition for recovery of assets filed against Vontobel dismissed by Zurich District Court

The Zurich District Court today fully dismissed the charges brought by the Public Prosecutor's Office III of the Canton of Zurich against former employees of Bank Vontobel AG in connection with the capital increase of Private Equity Holding AG (PEH) in March 2000. As a result, the petition for the recovery of assets filed against Bank Vontobel AG by the Public Prosecutor's Office has become void and has been dismissed in full. The decision by the District Court is in line with the opinions and arguments presented by Bank Vontobel AG as well as recognized legal experts. The court found that the capital increase of PEH was executed correctly.

The Vontobel Group assumes that the claims for damages brought against Bank Vontobel AG in connection with the capital increase of PEH have no prospect of success following the decision by the Zurich District Court.

As previously announced, the Vontobel Group did not record any provisions in connection with this matter.
