Vontobel Asset Management continues to grow in the German market and gains René Weinhold as new team leader in Relationship Management

Vontobel Asset Management has appointed René Weinhold head of the intermediary business. René Weinhold has over 17 years of experience in selling asset management services and previously worked for GAM (formerly Julius Baer) as head of wholesale in Germany. Before this, he held senior sales positions at AXA Fonds Trust and Sun Life in Frankfurt.

Effectively immediately, René Weinhold will be responsible for client relationships to financial intermediaries, asset managers, family offices and private banks, and will seek to exploit the strong inflows in those areas where Vontobel Asset Management offers top-tier products. The objective is to ramp up growth in this strategically important market segment in the coming years and significantly broaden the bank's client base.
