GTP - Electronic Trading Engineer

As an Electronic Trading Engineer, you will benefit from the full Graduate Trainee Program offerings during your time at Vontobel. You will be close to the markets and close to our traders!

Your opportunity

As Electronic Trading Engineer, you will…

  • Rotate within the modules ‘Electronic Trading Business’, ‘Execution Platform Development’, ‘Algo Trading Development’, ‘FX Platform’ as well as project management

  • Obtain exchange certifications for EMEA & US Markets, such as SIX Swiss Exchange, XETRA Deutsche Börse, Eurex Futures & Option Markets and potentially also look into FINRA Series 3 & Series 7 Exams

  • Have the chance to optionally obtain a CFA, RFM or CAIA certification or even attend a relevant conference such as Trade Tech

  • Start on October 1, 2021 and conclude the program March 30, 2023 (18 months)

This reduces complexity in supply management and reduces costs further. The partnership allows clients to further strengthen their offering by focusing on their core competencies and client-related, differentiating activities.

You will be working within our Transaction Banking department and will be part of an exciting international team, which includes former Graduate Trainees.

Your team is located on our trading floor, Bleicherweg 21, Zurich, and is instrumental in securing a smooth process. You will have frequent interactions with the Global Execution Desk, Backoffice, Frontoffice and IT Platform Teams.

 

Your background includes..

  • A Masters degree (university or university of applied sciences), you are eligible with up to a maximum of 24 months of work experience after your Masters

  • A study background in a highly quantitative field (for example computer science, data science, finance, physics, mathematics or comparable)

  • At least one work experience in the (financial) industry

You are

  • Excited about the financial industry

  • A curious person, with an analytical and structured mindset

  • Interested in electronic algorithmic trading

  • A team player, able to work under pressure

  • a pro-active person

  • Willing to complete additional training courses

  • Excited to be in an international team

  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)

  • Authorized to work in the EU or Switzerland, we welcome candidates with an international background
