Portfolio Manager - Social Impact Investing

We are expanding our successful Global Impact team (Listed Equity). As pioneers, we launched an environmentally focused Clean Technology strategy already in 2008. As a natural next step, we seek to expand our strategies with the objective to accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable society. We will invest in listed companies providing products and services in impact pillars like affordable health, equal opportunities, sustainable food and responsible consumption to support a broader range of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Strong, sustainable business models are the essentials of financial performance and effective impact – only scalable solutions have the potential to move the needle!

Your opportunity

We are looking for a senior, fundamentally focused global equity PM to cover companies contributing to the societal SDGs (particularly SDG 3 “Good Health and Well-being” and SDG 12 “Responsible Consumption and Production”).

You will:

  • Take responsibility for portfolio construction and risk management within the social impact pillars, and be a driving force to successful and effective marketing and sales efforts.
  • You will also generate investment ideas in the focus field based on fundamental, bottom-up analysis, proprietary forecasts, as well as assessing soft factors including quality of management;
  • Evaluate related sector dynamics, regulatory changes and shifts in behavioral preferences, and identify relevant companies, map their products and services to applicable SDGs, and define and quantify relevant KPIs to measure impact.

You will join a motivated team in constant search for the solutions to today’s challenges, with great opportunities to learn, develop and pursue your career.

You bring

  • Strong, multi-year track record as senior equity PM/analyst in a relevant area.
  • Strong academic background, CFA charterholder or similar preferred, with good understanding of ESG issues
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; English fluency, both spoken and written
  • Superior industry knowledge and strong modelling and valuation skills (bottom-up, fundamental approach).

You are:

  • Team-player, flexible, open minded and keen to deliver.
  • Excited to focus on impact-specific longer-term drivers.
