Vontobel announces changes to its Board of Directors

  • Dr. Zeno Staub to be nominated for election to the Board of Directors at the upcoming Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Vontobel Holding AG
  • Bruno Basler decided not to stand for re-election after 20 years of dedicated service

The Board of Directors of Vontobel Holding AG proposes Dr Zeno Staub be newly elected as member of the Board of Directors at the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on April 2, 2025.

Dr. Zeno Staub is deeply familiar with Vontobel’s business, having played a key role in shaping the company’s growth and strategy for more than two decades. He served as CEO of Vontobel from 2011 to 2023, having previously been a member of the Executive Committee in various leadership roles across the organization. He holds several board and advisory roles, including Designated President of the University Council at the University of St. Gallen, Board member at BÜHLER Group, and chairman at climatex and WorldReplica. He earned his PhD (Dr. oec. HSG) and degree in economics from the University of St. Gallen.

Zeno Staub’s leadership experience and strategic insight will be valuable as we continue to navigate an evolving landscape,” says Andreas E.F. Utermann, Chairman.

The Board of Directors of Vontobel Holding AG also announces today that Bruno Basler will step down from the Board after 20 years of dedicated service. “The Board of Directors sincerely thanks Bruno Basler for his 20 years of meaningful commitment to Vontobel. His contributions have helped to shape the company’s direction, and we are grateful for his leadership and counsel,” concludes Andreas E.F. Utermann.

The above changes are subject to regulatory approval.
