Vontobel appoints Simon Lue-Fong as Head of its Fixed Income Boutique

Fixed Income investors are looking for active, high conviction managers to provide diversified sources of returns. Vontobel’s Fixed Income boutique has grown to US$ 25bn in client assets by offering superior solutions in Global Credit, Emerging Markets and Flexible Strategies. To strengthen its investment expertise, Vontobel has appointed Simon Lue-Fong as Head of the Fixed Income Boutique and member of the Asset Management Executive Committee from October 1, 2020.

Vontobel’s fixed income business was founded in 1988, and has grown to over 50 investment professionals based in London, Zurich, New York and Hong Kong. The business comprises TwentyFour Asset Management, based in London, as well as the Fixed Income Boutique, based in Zürich, and manages US$ 45bn of client assets in total. From its base in Europe, Vontobel Fixed Income is growing in Asia, Americas and in the Global Banks segment.

Simon Lue-Fong joins Vontobel on October 1, 2020 as Head of the Fixed Income Boutique and member of the Asset Management Executive Committee. He has 29 years’ experience as an active, high conviction fixed income investor with deep enthusiasm for investment and markets. Prior to this, he was responsible for Pictet’s Emerging Markets Fixed Income Franchise, which he developed from less than US$ 1bn to a US$ 32bn business over 13 years. In his previous portfolio management roles, he covered global, credit and emerging markets fixed income.
