Vontobel launches multifunctional platform for external asset managers with an integrated issuing tool for structured products

 

Vontobel's collaboration with external asset managers (EAMs) is of strategic importance for the bank. This area of business is achieving pleasing and continued growth. Vontobel currently holds more than CHF 5 billion of assets on behalf of external asset managers and this figure is increasing. With the aim of further enhancing the quality and professionalism of its services for this important group of clients, Vontobel is launching a multifunctional EAM platform that combines various applications. They include the issuing tool deritrade, which enables users to design, issue and manage customized structured products directly on their screens.

 

External asset managers expect their partner banks to offer efficient support – especially in the areas of product information, research and administration. Vontobel is therefore combining all of the relevant information on a central online platform that is tailored to the needs of external asset managers and is available exclusively to them. Brian Fischer, Head of the EAM Desk, believes that the service concept behind the initiative is of decisive importance. He explained: "We want to distinguish ourselves by offering first-class service and to actively support our clients in their daily business activities. Our EAM platform opens up a broad range of services to users via a central interface with our bank. For example, it enables them to structure customized derivatives products and to swiftly calculate different payoff models."

 

The multifunctional EAM platform will be available from 11 March 2013 to all external asset managers who have concluded a cooperation agreement with Vontobel.
