Accessibility Statement

Accessibility at Vontobel

At Vontobel, we are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, in compliance with the European Accessibility Act. This means that we strive to make our content easily accessible to individuals with physical disabilities, technical challenges, or age-related limitations. We believe in the principle of 'access for all' and are continuously working to enhance our website's accessibility features.

This accessibility statement applies to www.vontobel.com and not to any other websites published on other subdomains.

Compliance Status

This Website is structured to partially adhere to the AA level of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), version 2.2. The criteria have been assessed in a Web Accessibility Audit between April and May 2025, through a combination of manual and automated testing.

While we strive to make our website as accessible as possible, we acknowledge that some limitations still exist. We are actively working on addressing these issues. Please refer to the Non-Accessible Content section below:

Non-accessible Content

Please find below the list with content that is not accessible due to the following reasons:

  • Image descriptions: Some images have missing, incomplete, or non-descriptive descriptions (text alternatives).
  • Icons and graphics: Some images, icons, graphs and controls with non-text characters do not have text alternatives.
  • Content structure: Some page titles and subtitles are not structured with correct HTML headings.
  • Link purpose: Some links do not have sufficient context to be explicitly meaningful, which may be confusing to screen reader software users.
  • Website navigation: Some interactions in the website’s main navigation and in paginated navigation-lists may be hard to understand with a screen reader.
  • Visual indicators: Some controls have no visual focus indicators.
  • Forms: Some form controls may be difficult to understand using a screen reader.
  • Table headings: A number of tables may be missing table headings and scope attributes. Screen reader software users may find these harder to understand as a result.
  • Documents: Many PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen readers.
  • Irrelevant content: Some non-text content does not have relevant alternatives or is not ignored by assistive technologies.
  • Element titles: Titles of various sections and components may not be in correct title tags.
  • Headings: Some headings do not follow the correct heading hierarchy, which can cause problems for screen reader users. Some text elements that should be in heading tags currently are not.
  • Content structure: Empty <p> tags are used to visually create space between paragraphs.
  • Contrast: Some combinations of text colour and their background colour may make those elements difficult to read for low vision users.
  • Translations: Several links and texts are in English but do not have specific language attributes.
  • Video captions and audio description: Many of our videos do not have captions or, if required, audio description.
  • Video and audio transcripts: Some of our video and audio content do not have transcripts.
  • Headings: Some headings do not follow the correct heading hierarchy, which can cause problems for screen reader users. Some text elements that should be in heading tags currently are not.
  • Information and relationships: Some controls do not have enough semantic information for their purpose to be made clear to screen reader software users.
  • Keyboard operability: Some controls are not operable for keyboard-only users and screen reader software users.
  • Role and state: The role of some controls is not properly conveyed to screen reader software users, so it is not clear if they are for functionality or navigation. The purpose and state of some controls is not conveyed to screen reader software users, so it may be unclear what those controls do, or whether they work.
  • Search and Filters: In the website search, and other search tools used to filter results, results are updated after each key press.
  • Read aloud content: Multiple elements are read aloud in an incorrect language or accent.
