In 2025, we have continued to work on our six Sustainability Commitments that also provide the guiding structure of our report. We strive to report transparently on our sustainability efforts and achievements, as well as on the road ahead as we work towards our goals. Governance & Transparency

  • We want to work within an appropriate governance structure where sustainability/ ESG-related matters are managed across the organization (in line with defined Group-wide sustainability governance) and that ensures appropriate oversight
  • Our BoD Sustainability Spokesperson remains a key function to ensure adequate Board oversight on sustainability matters
  • We report in accordance with GRI standards for the 15th time and our disclosure includes a TCFD index

Investment Solutions

  • Vontobel’s Group-wide ESG product framework classifies investment solutions into three categories based on their incorporation of ESG criteria (integrate, participate and contribute)
  • Vontobel had a total of CHF 58.2 billion of assets under management invested in solutions that go beyond the consideration of sustainability / ESG risks, i.e., categorized as Participate or Contribute (according to the Vontobel ESG product framework
  • Our investment teams subscribe to four common ESG Investment Principles

Advice for Private Clients

  • Vontobel offers its private clients discretionary mandate solutions for multi and single asset mandates based on the individual client’s needs and preferences for ESG investing – since 2025 also rolled out for MiFID clients
  • Vontobel Private Clients has developed its own ESG framework, which offers the basis for the classification of investment instruments and client preferences

Climate & Environment

  • We have defined emission reduction targets until 2034 for selected Swiss locations (Scope 1 and 2)
  • In 2025, we have offset all our remaining operational emissions (Scope 1,2,3) using high-quality emission certificates. We started our emission compensation journey back in 2009 and aim to continue to offset all our operational emissions in the future.
  • We have Paris-aligned reduction targets for the corporate bond investments in our banking and trading books
  • In 2025, we have expaned our financed GHG emission reporting by mortgages and equity instruments

Great workplace

  • We have defined long-term targets for female representation in managerial positions for 2030
  • We value our employees’ feedback and ran an organization-wide Employee Engagement Survey in 2025
  • We are a future-oriented employer and offer our employees attractive benefits

Community Engagement

  • We are a member of the Corporate Support Group of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) & a founding member of the Swiss Climate Foundation
  • As part of our longstanding partnership with the ICRC, we have launched an internal fundraising initiative around the topic of “Restoring Hope”
