Publié le 16.09.2017 HAEC

The current Sustainability Report presents information on the measurable successes achieved at Vontobel in 2012. The report is an integral part of the Annual Report, and complies with the internationally recognized standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

"In keeping with the maxim ‘What gets measured, gets done’, this transparent information helps us to strategically improve our sustainability performance. Our efforts are paying off in the environmental segment in particular. In 2012, we once again reported significant improvement in environmental performance in most areas compared with 2011," explains Sabine Döbeli, Head of Corporate Sustainability Management. Based on its transparent information and good performance, Vontobel qualified for the Carbon Disclosure Leaders Index in 2012. There were also successes with regard to the product range. In recognition of its consistent integration of sustainability themes in financial analysis at Asset Management, Vontobel received the ESG Leaders Award in the category "Best Asset Manager in ESG". The fact that the measures implemented are taking effect is also demonstrated by the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 7% per employee.

The Vontobel Sustainability Report thus again meets all the requirements in terms of content and formal aspects of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), an internationally recognized standard for sustainability reporting. Based on the comprehensive information on at least 20 GRI indicators, the report fulfils the Level B requirements.
