    The Gordian knot – a famous tangle of rope from the ancient Phrygian town of Gordium, which, according to legend, was cut in two by Alexander the Great – is used as a symbol for seemingly unsolvable problems. Greece is a Gordian knot of sorts, confronting the euro zone with apparently intractable issues. We believe that a deal will be reached while Greece’s long-term predicament is unlikely to be solved.
