In our Operation Services Department in Zurich, you will work as an active member of an experienced team, which ensures Avaloq-Development and the day-to-day post trade processing.

As an Avaloq Parameterization Specialist, you will play a crucial role in expanding, operating, and maintaining our core banking system, Avaloq, at Vontobel. Within the Transaction Banking unit and the Operation Services department, you form a cohesive team with the business. This enables you to better achieve common goals and develop a collective strength. You will actively participate in ongoing projects, take responsibility for parts of the application, tackle operational challenges, and analyze requirements together with the business colleagues.

What role will you play?

  • Avaloq parameterization in the core banking system Avaloq with a focus on Settlement.
  • In the Transaction Banking unit and the Operation Services department, you are in the same team with the specialists.
  • Together with the specialists and the business analysts, you drive developments forward, bring new ideas and innovations, and pursue the same goal of customer satisfaction, quality improvement, efficiency gain, and ensuring operations.
  • The focus is on solution design with the specialists or the business analysts, programming, parameterization, and testing.

What are we looking for?

  • Several years of software engineering experience in the securities sector.
  • Relevant Avaloq parameterization experience and the willingness to continuously acquire new knowledge in this area
  • Enthusiasm for new technologies, agile working methods, ability to take responsibility
  • Very good communication skills in English (highly desirable) and German (mandatory).
  • Great teamwork skills and keen to take ownership for your work and your growth.
  • Good analytical skills, solution-oriented, independent
