Primary Risk Control is responsible for monitoring and controlling Vontobel’s financial risks including Market, Counterparty, Credit, Liquidity, Investment, as well as Model and Valuation Risks. We ensure comprehensive and systematic monitoring of risks and define the methods for risk analysis and assessment. As part of our risk assessment, we conduct stress tests and scenario analyses. Our reporting informs Vontobel’s senior leadership on the firm’s risk profile that we steer through our institution-wide control framework.

What would your role be?

  • Support the development of our strategic agenda, shape our innovation initiatives and steer them from idea generation to implementation.
  • Manage our change projects and provide hands-on analytical and data support during implementation by improving methodologies, testing and prototyping solutions.
  • Improve current processes and optimize organizational procedures for efficiency and productivity.
  • Support creation of communication materials for various leadership forums and risk committees.
  • Act as liaison to various stakeholders and enhance interdepartmental collaboration.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in the financial or consulting industry with proven record in project management.
  • Strong sense of ownership, proven record of taking initiative to solve business problems, and a keen drive for innovation.
  • Problem-solving and analytical mindset with experience in data analysis or data science, and strong technical skills in SQL, VBA, Python, PowerBI, or similar languages and applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Motivation to learn, improve and excel paired with a self-starter attitude.
