Art Vontobel and Swiss Photomonth
Every Autumn, the art scene opens for a new season with a multitude of exhibition openings and events throughout Switzerland. Inspired by this convergence, the Swiss Photomonth aims to highlight the numerous venues and happenings centred around photography, for the first time bringing together various players in the field and providing a better overview for the public.
Over the course of almost six weeks, the public will be able to discover around 50 venues across the country, large and small, renowned and off the beaten track, that are active in the field of photography. Festivals, museums, art centres, galleries, collections, art schools, and restoration workshops are all taking part, offering exhibitions, lectures and round tables, guided tours, book launches and performances. We are delighted that Art Vontobel will be one of the participating venues, alongside the Verzasca Foto Festival in Ticino, the Biennale Images Vevey in the canton of Vaud, and Plat(t)form 2024 at the Fotomuseum Winterthur, to name a few.
Vontobel will open its doors to the public with five guided tours, highlighting our biennial art award, A New Gaze 4, and providing an insight into the Art Vontobel Collection.
These tours will be free to join:

September 3 | 17:00 to 18:00, public tour of the Collection |
