Vontobel achieves very good score for the Principles for Responsible Investment

"Our PRI score, which far exceeds the average rating, is confirmation of our expertise in the field of sustainable investing, which Vontobel has been building and continuously expanding since the 1990s. This great score is all the more relevant since the Principles for Responsible Investment have grown increasingly important in recent years when it comes to awarding mandates to asset managers. More and more frequently, clients are asking specifically about PRI ratings," explained Axel Schwarzer, Head of Vontobel Asset Management.

The PRI assesses signatories based on their implementation of the six Principles for Responsible Investment:

• We will incorporate ESG issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes.
• We will be active owners and incorporate ESG issues into our ownership policies and practices.
• We will seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which we invest.
• We will promote acceptance and implementation of the Principles within the investment industry.
• We will work together to enhance our effectiveness in implementing the Principles.
• We will each report on our activities and progress towards implementing the Principles.
