Welcome to Vontobel eSigning (electronic signing)
Vontobel eSigning is provided through a network of trusted providers covering different service aspects*:
1. Certificate issuance provider:
- CH: Certificate issuance and 2-factor authentication service based on Swiss regulation (ZertES): Swisscom Trust Services AG (certificate) & Swisscom (Schweiz) AG / Mobile ID (2nd-factor)
- EU: Certificate issuance and 2nd-factor authentication service based on EU regulation (eIDAS): DocuSign France SAS
2. Video registration:
- CH: Video registration based on Swiss regulation (ZertES): Intrum AG
- EU: Video registration based on EU regulation (eIDAS): DocuSign Inc
3. E-signing platform service CH & EU: DocuSign Inc
Note: Before you can digitally/electronically sign a document, depending on the signature type, you may need to be registered with the issuing provider (personal certificate issued). There is a built-in check through the e-signing process to verify if you are already registered, in such case you can directly continue with e-signing and further follow the Signing Process instructions below. Otherwise, you are requested within the workflow to first register following the Registration Process Swiss (ZertES) or Registration Process EU (eIDAS) depending on the provided signature type.
The providers are bound by contract to maintain confidentiality, data protection and privacy principles. Nonetheless, please make sure that you read and understand the relevant terms and conditions, privacy documentation, and any additional information provided by the service providers before deciding to use the respective services. Bank Vontobel AG and its affiliates (“Vontobel”) do not require the use of the services and any decision to use the services is taken voluntarily. In case you decide to transmit confidential data, the disclosure of the relationship and client information to third parties may occur. You herewith acknowledge that you are aware of the risks and release Vontobel from any and all liability.
