Senior AI Engineer – Pro-Code & Agentic Solutions, Microsoft AI Foundry (80–100%)
Zürich / Splügenstrasse 5What would your role be?
Design, build and operate production-grade agentic and GenAI solutions on Microsoft AI Foundry, taking them from prototype through to governed, observable, and fully supported production services.
Translate recurring business needs into reusable reference architectures and paved-road patterns, so that each new use case builds on a secure, proven foundation rather than starting from scratch.
Set the pro-code engineering standard for AI across the team, and mentor colleagues working in both pro-code and low-code environments (Copilot Studio, Power Platform) so that good practice scales beyond any individual.
Make the secure and compliant path the most straightforward path for business teams, by building enablement and self-service into the platform rather than absorbing demand as manual support.
Treat governance, data classification, identity, and responsible-AI guardrails as integral to the engineering itself — in a regulated banking environment, sound judgement about what not to build is as valuable as the ability to build it.
What are we looking for?
Demonstrable experience taking at least one agentic or GenAI system from prototype into production within a sensitive or regulated environment, including responsibility for its operation. We will ask you to walk us through what you built, who relied on it, the hardest constraint you designed around, and what you would approach differently today.
Strong pro-code engineering foundations, with proven proficiency in Python for AI and agent development, complemented by production software experience in at least one of C#/.NET or TypeScript. You write code regularly and intend to keep doing so.
Hands-on depth in Microsoft AI Foundry and Azure AI services — retrieval-augmented generation, orchestration, evaluation, and agent design patterns.
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and the Power Platform (including Copilot Studio) is an advantage.
A first-principles approach to security, data boundaries, and architectural trade-offs, and the confidence to advise a business team against a given approach when circumstances require it.
A track record of improving the engineers and standards around you — through mentoring, technical leadership, or setting team-wide practice — not solely through individual delivery.
The ability to learn quickly in a rapidly evolving technology landscape. We are recruiting for your learning ability and judgement, not for a fixed list of certifications.
Fluency in English is required; German is a strong advantage given close collaboration with business stakeholders.
What do we offer?
Top Zurich location with collaboration spaces and free lunch.
Friendly, diverse team in an open-office space.

We are looking for talented people, not just a CV that ticks all the boxes. Even if you do not have absolutely everything we have asked for, if this role sounds like a good fit for you, we encourage you to apply.
