Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)
Through signature of the Principles for Responsible Investment, Vontobel has committed itself to the gradual implementation of six principles for the broad integration of ESG issues into investment processes.
UK Stewardship Code 2020
Vontobel Asset Management has demonstrated its commitment to effective stewardship, through. Compliance with the principles of the UK Stewardship Code 2020.
Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN)
Impact investments aim at creating measurable social and environmental impact alongside a financial return. GIIN is dedicated to increasing the scale and effectiveness of impact investing. This membership gives us the opportunity to network with experts globally and to exchange experiences.
One Planet Sovereign Wealth Funds (OPSWF) Network
Vontobel has partnered with the One Planet Sovereign Wealth Funds (OPSWF) Network, which is aimed at integrating climate change risks and investing in a smooth transition to a low-carbon economy.
UN Global Compact
Global Compact is a strategic initiative of the United Nations for companies such as Vontobel that commit themselves to aligning their business activities and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles covering human rights, labor standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project)
Vontobel is a signatory of CDP and its climate change, water and forest programs.
Swiss Sustainable Finance (SSF)
Through this membership, we support efforts to strengthen Switzerland’s position as a leading center in the field of sustainable finance.
Sustainable Finance Geneva (SFG)
Our involvement in this initiative is helping to promote sustainable investments on the Geneva investment hub.
Forum per la Finanza Sostenibile (ItaSIF) / Foro de Inversión Sostenible de España (Spainsif)
Vontobel supports the initiatives of the Italian and Spanish sustainable investment forums, which promote the integration of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria into financial products and related processes.
International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
Vontobel has been a strategic partner of the ICRC since 2005. Through this long-term partnership, Vontobel has been able to support continuous and effective humanitarian aid worldwide over the years. As part of this collaboration, Vontobel launches an internal fundraising initiative for the benefit of the ICRC in the last quarter of each year.
The Austrian Eco-Label
Various investment solutions managed by Vontobel carry the Austrian Eco-Label, an independent seal of approval for environment and quality.
oebu – the association for environmentally conscious management
Oebu (originally Schweizerische Vereinigung für ökologisch bewusste Unternehmensführung) is the Swiss Business Council for Sustainable Development. The organization and its members represent a widespread network of companies supporting sustainable development across economic sectors and branches. Vontobel has been a member since 2008.
Swiss Climate Foundation
Vontobel is a founding member of this foundation. It finances projects aimed at improving the energy efficiency of small and medium-sized businesses.
Energy Agency of the Swiss Private Sector (EnAW)
Vontobel has been a participant in the Energy Agency of the Swiss Private Sector (EnAW) since 2007. The EnAW was established by business associations with the goal of improving energy and resource efficiency among its members. Vontobel has entered into a voluntary target agreement with the EnAW, committing to binding objectives.
