We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role involves conducting due diligence for wealth management client onboarding, performing periodic client reviews, and carrying out Know Your Customer (KYC) checks, adverse media searches, and formality checks.

What would your role be?

  • Client Onboarding Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence for new wealth management clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Periodic Client Reviews: Perform regular reviews of existing clients to ensure ongoing compliance and identify any potential risks.
  • KYC Checks: Verify client identities and ensure all required documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  • Formality Checks: Review and validate client information and documentation for accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Adverse Media Searches: Conduct searches for adverse media and other risk indicators related to clients and escalate findings as necessary.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure the company remains compliant.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including compliance, legal, operations, and relationship managers, to address compliance-related matters.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 -10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related role, preferably in the wealth management or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of KYC, CDB, AML and Client Due Diligence processes.
  • Proficiency in compliance tools and systems for conducting adverse media searches and KYC checks.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Oral and written proficiency in German (at least C2), and English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
