Art Collection Working Student (40-60%)
Zürich / Gotthardstrasse 35For our Art Vontobel team, we are looking for someone who will join on a 6-month temporary basis to provide day-to-day coverage and support to our Art Vontobel Head & Curator.
This role requires a passion and understanding of contemporary art, strong social media skills, and a proactive attitude towards administrative tasks. It will focus in particular on supporting the coordination of “A New Gaze 5”, the next edition of our biennial art award.
What would your role be?
- Assist in the coordination and administration of Vontobel’s fifth biennial art award, A New Gaze, opening beginning of June 2026.
- Support with the department’s web and social media platforms, to promote Vontobel’s artistic initiatives and events; Instagram, LinkedIn content, internal and external website.
- Help keep the Collection up to date (support with the database, ensuring all files are up to date, etc.)
- Provide general support to the Head of Department in daily and administrative tasks
What are we looking for?
- A passion for and knowledge of contemporary art (in particular photography); ideally an art history, art education or communication bachelor or master's student
- Proven experience in managing social media platforms and creating engaging content
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with a keen eye for detail and experience supporting events.
- Independence & Teamwork: A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills who can complete tasks independently
- Microsoft Office proficiency. Familiarity with ArtPlus or similar art databases as a plus.
- Fluent German and good written and spoken ability in English.
