We are looking for an experienced, well connected sales manager who knows the UK intermediary market to join our team. Working in a small team in Vontobel’s London office, an independent entrepreneurial approach is vital yet a strong cultural fit is also important.

What would your role be?
As a Director within our intermediary team, you will have an integral role to continue our growth with leading wealth managers, fund-of-funds and family offices. Principal responsibilities will include:
Planning
- Define business strategy (market segmentation, target clients, growth plan)
- Analyse peer group developments and trends in alternative investing
- Prioritise products for sales planning and provide input into product development
Sales
- Manage structured sales process for client lead generation, follow up and conversion
- Systematically acquire clients and progress client take-on
- Manage ongoing relationship once clients are acquired
- Build in depth knowledge about Vontobel’s investment strategies / funds, portfolio positioning and the portfolio managers' investment views
- Ensure competitive and consistent positioning of Vontobel and our products
- Oversee RFP and tender processes to ensure client requirements are optimally covered (in collaboration with dedicated support teams)
- Work in close collaboration with the UK/Ireland Sales team in London as well as the investment teams and Investment Communications team in Zurich.
Marketing Coordination
- Plan regional roadshows, marketing campaigns and investment conference participations in alignment with overall marketing plan
- Strengthen Vontobel’s brand in the intermediary market
- Optimise all marketing materials (brochures, presentations, etc.)
What are we looking for?
- Senior Sales and Relationship Manager with at least 7 years of asset management sales experience in the UK.
- Strong sales skills with a proven track record in building long-term relationships and significant AUM.
- Well established network in the family office, wealth management and fund of funds channels.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit and self-motivation, ability to work both independently and as a team player.
- Client centric mindset combined with a genuine passion for investing
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- High personal integrity.
