Directiva europea sobre los Mercados de Instrumentos Financieros
La Directiva europea sobre los Mercados de Instrumentos Financieros (MiFID, por sus siglas en inglés) es una directiva de la Unión Europea para la armonización de los mercados financieros en el mercado interior europeo.
La finalidad de la directiva consiste en la mejora de la protección de los inversores, una mayor transparencia de los mercados financieros, y la garantía de la máxima integridad de los prestadores de servicios financieros. Abarca distintos temas:
normas de conducta, deberes de organización, ejecución óptima (best execution), posibles conflictos de intereses, requisitos para operar mercados y plataformas comerciales regulados, la internalización sistemática, y requisitos de transparencia prenegociación y postnegociación. La Directiva MiFID rige para los Estados miembros de la UE y del EEE, y para los prestadores de servicios financieros allí establecidos.
Desde sus orígenes, Vontobel se ha comprometido a llevar a cabo una gestión honesta, cabal y profesional. En este sentido, la Directiva MiFID formaliza en muchos de sus puntos la práctica actual y refleja los valores, principios y objetivos de Vontobel.
